Ruby is a gentle giant. Her looks tend to scare people off just because of the size of her but she is the most softest dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

I have a whippet also and my whippet is dominant over Ruby. Ruby submits to the whippet which is a funny sight. She absolutely adores people and whenever we're out she tries to drag me over to them wagging her tail with her tongue out ready to lick them to death.

She is really strong but also very gentle when it comes to playing with my whippet or playing with the pups. She is a very rare colour for the american bulldog. You don't get many tri-coloured but she is absolutely stunning....

Hi what is the pedigree behind ruby? Its just that tri coloured american bulldogs are not really recognised as are crossed with other breeds to get the colouration. She is lovely though.

What a beautiful looking girl Ruby is. She looks so serious, bless her. Really concentrating very hard on looking beautiful for the camera which she's achieved perfectly. Great picture

Hi Emma, it's good to hear stories that challenge our stereotypes of certain breeds. I have a person locally who's scared stiff of Staffies - but of course it's not the breed per se but the individual dog and usually the owner!
