Ashdown Forest, England

Me and Georgie

Someone had to go first so I thought it may as well be me since it's my website!!

One of my favourite dog walks is Ashdown Forest in the UK. It's south of London, roughly north of Brighton and originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times.

In the summer there are always pools of waters for the dogs to play in. In the winter it's crisp and beautiful with large areas of heathland and amazing views.

I love it there although it's quite a drive from where we live so we don't go often. I nearly wept when I first discovered it - the sheer joy of finding somewhere so amazing. It reminds me of Scotland.

I love large open spaces where I can feel free and the dogs can RUN!

The magic forest
by: Mark

Ashdown Forest really is a magical place. This picture gives a good impression of the wonderful spaciousness of the terrain. Not a bad photo actually - wonder who took it . . ?
