August 2009 Dog Photo ContestSee all the photos from this month on one page. We'd like to say congratulations to Michael Hinchee from East Bay, California. Your dog Archie the Maltie-Poo, is the August Dog of the Month! 
Thank you to everyone who entered. We had a number of finalists but in the end we whittled it down to Archie. I think you'll agree it's quite a stunning photo. If you win, the photo will be on our Welcome Page for the month greeting all our visitors :) Please only send in one photo. We would also like to encourage natural shots rather than photos taken in the studio; and the photo must be taken by you. Did you know that you can make comments on your favourite photo or just let the person know you like their dog? It will really mean a lot to people if you do. Simply click on the entries below and there'll be an opportunity to comment on the individual photo. Go on, join in! It's nice for people to find out what you think of their dog. Please keep comments positive! Due to this site's success around the world, we are no longer sending prizes out to the winning entry. With custom forms and so forth for winners outside the UK, it was becoming rather complicated to administer. We hope you will still continue to send us your photos!
