Black Lab cross Dalmatian - profile of a Dalidor named Cisco

His name's Cisco (or 'you villian! come back here with my shoe!' he'll answer to either)

His name's Cisco (or 'you villian! come back here with my shoe!' he'll answer to either)

Attached is a picture of Cisco. He and I are very similar; black guys of mixed heritage.

He is a lab/dalmation and Cisco has a bit of someone's leg in there too.

He is a rescue dog and he was also returned numerous times to the rescue foundation. I think I know why: his light brown eyes glow orange in the sun; he's coal black except for small white markings on his chin and mid chest; he smiles all the time.

As such all you can see is a large (75lb) shiny black dog with HUGE fangs and glowing orange eyes coming towards you.

Since he really loves people and he's still only a pup (he'll likely be in the 90lb range when he's all done growing) he does everything with lots of enthusiasm.

Scares the life out of people!

I took one look @ this guy and saw my whole life right there.

His energy and zest for life mean I have lost weight since I got him. His cheerfulness and good nature make him really popular at the vet where he endears himself to her by scrubbing every speck of makeup off her face.

I believe in a former life he was shot by a jealous husband as he escaped from a bedroom window; he simply adores women of all ages & sizes.

I think its because they wear make up which smells like food to him, but whatever it is, I meet LOTS of girls because of this dog.

He has to be the healthiest dog I've ever had, too. He simply never gets sick or seems to suffer from anything.

This lab/dalmatian cross ought to be WAY more common because they are the BEST of both dogs in my view.

Ha, Cisco has that "butter wouldn't melt" look, too. Usually just before he steals food?

It's a good point you make about health, though Jet is never ill (touch wood). They really are the best of both worlds without the inherent in-bred illnesses which can plague some Labs and Dals.
