Waiting For Daddy
Both of our dogs are in this picture. Our black lab Jake is almost two years old and is a rescue. We think he was about seven months old when we got him. He was in pretty rough shape. He has attached himself to his older sister JoJo.
JoJo our yellow lab is almost five years old. JoJo has some medical concerns of her own. She has a broken tendon in her front left paw that caused her paw to collapse. It can't be fixed so she has a camel paw on the right and a regular paw on the left. She also suffers from a wheat allergy and she is allergic to fifteen other things so she has an allergy shot every three weeks and Mommy cooks all their food.
Even with all the issues Jake and JoJo LOVE to go to the lake three times a week and swim, swim, swim. They are very competitive with one another and just try to get a water toy without going for a dip with them, even in the winter! They love each other and their family.
In the picture, Daddy had walked down the street and no matter how long Daddy is gone this is where they sit until Daddy comes home. Thank goodness Daddy is retired! The only thing that will make them move is the smell of chicken baking. They might get down for a taste then back on the bench for "Daddy Watch"...
