My fiance and I adopted Maverick in March 2010. He was 3 days away from leaving us all at a high kill pound when the rescue team found Maverick's mommy.

Maverick learned how to "gimme five" at 8 weeks old. He is a really special doggie that loves to play in water! He has his own baby pool that he likes to roll in...silly Mav! He is currently learning fetch with a frisbee and learning tricks with a hula hoop.

This is my favorite picture of him. That toy in the picture is his favorite...as you can see he can't let it go :)

Awwwww.... looks like a puppy version of my dog, Lucy! She's a border collie mix rescue, but we got her when she was a year old. Never saw her as a puppy (sad!)

Hi Maria, puppies are all so cute but there's something about the fluffiness of the border collie/collie crosses which is so lovely.

Re. his toy, he definitely seems to be saying, "this is mine!"
