Max in the Grass
Max is a wonderful dog. He needs strict rules and boundaries to make him feel safe and know where his place in the pack is.
He's good with children as long as he doesn't feel threatened.
Because he's a large dog he doesn't need much exercise.
When he was younger he got 1 hour and a half per day, and now gets just under an hour per day, although at the weekend he gets a few hours walk.
His legs are becoming week too, so we try not to do too much with him.
Due to the Shepherd in him he moults constantly.
He's a very special dog and very intelligent, over intelligent sometimes. He knows when my parents are on their way home from work. He gets up and walks around the kitchen when they leave work, and he can always tell when something's wrong.
His breed due to the shepherd is known to be a protective dog and he can be very protective and wary of people. He also thinks it's his job to guard the house when no one's home.
Due to his past he's become a very difficult dog but this is what makes him so special.
