Chloe makes a lovely pet. She's a rescue dog from Labrador Rescue and is now 9.
She's playful, intelligent and friendly. Every evening at nine o'clock she starts to wag her tail and get all exited, and she plods over to me and invites me to play.
She goes training every week and always does as she's asked. She's never been aggressive and lives with 2 other dogs.
She's fine with children, she loves any human who will play with her and love her.
For a lab she's naturally thin, some can be easily over weight. She's not too bothered about treats and she's not a scrounger, (although she did sneak into the garage, where the dog food's kept and when i got home from school she was huge!)
She also loves fruit! She walks round the park gently picking blackberries off the bushes and when we walk her round the orchards she picks pears off the ground. I don't think this is common in most dogs though.
She sheds all year round, not a lot of fur but constant moulting.
She loves to sleep all day but she comes to life when her leads put on to be taken for a walk.
I would recommend a lab for a family pet or companion (especially a rescue, there are so many dogs being put down everyday due to too many dogs being taking up space in rescue centres)
