Stanmer Woods and Park If you’re looking for a large, safe area, beautiful for humans and exciting for the dogs, then Stanmer is one of the best places in Brighton to walk your dog. Sheepcote Valley This has been one of my staple dog walks for years. The views are amazing, the people are friendly, the dogs LOVE it - as far as I’m concerned its one of THE best walks in Brighton. Southwick Hill Southwick Hill is in the Mile Oak area - fantastic views and a great open space for all breeds of dog. Hove Lagoon to King Alfreds This is where Alfie likes to walk (Jessie's brother) - with the wind blowing his ears and the sand in his paws :) Withdean Park Withdean Park is a favorite for dog owners in the area. I also know many people who travel in, especially in the winter months for a safe, dog walk at around four in the afternoon. Queen's Park Relatively traffic free streets surround this park and it's well used by a variety of people. Preston Park Dog friendly cafes and lots of doggy bins - but beware of the busy roads around the park. St Anne's Wells Gardens, Hove A delightful, well maintained park with lots of different areas. It's a friendly, popular park with a great café. St Nicholas Rest Garden Hidden away close to the Clock Tower in Brighton, off Dyke Road. A fairly small area but beautiful, enclosed and dog-friendly. Hove Park A large area but still surrounded by roads. Very popular with dogs and their owners! Green Ridge Located at the top of Dyke Road, Brighton, this is a beautiful area to walk your dog with great views. Devil's Dyke Part of the South Down's Way and with incredible views. Ditchling Beacon Stunning views and the highest point in East Sussex. There are often a few cows around though (and consequently their cow pats!) Friston Forest About 45 minutes outside of Brighton but well worth it! A beautiful area on the road to Eastbourne. If you walk your dog anywhere else and care to share, please get in touch. I can email you a few questions and you can help others find new walks in our area. I check everything before it goes live so don't worry about spelling and punctuation! We just need your knowledge and 'inside information'!
