Browndog Esq. Dragon Slayer at Bleak House

Browndog is a 13 and a half year old Alastian/Ridgeback cross which equates to one rather large, sooky and at times, sensitive boy dog. Son of Spike the black Great Dane/Ridgeback cross, our previous dog, and some unknown floozie, Browndog was born to another family unbeknownst to us. Hence, he ended up in the local pound about 6 weeks after the mighty Spike went to heaven and it was there that his current daddy, Ian found him and brought him home to live at Bleak House.

Browndog pursuits as a young boy dog were, well, not always viewed kindly by some of the neighbours, people passing by, visitors, the local pool owner, the mailmen.... However, after the unkindest cut of all Brownie's pleasures turned more to knitting, singing soprano and helping mummy around the house and garden.

Some of his greatest achievements have included: collecting the neighbour's dolls and leaving them somehow naked on our footpath; banishing all dragons that tried to enter his kingdom (why else would he bark in the middle of the night?!); politely informing the possums that live in the roof that could they please not be quite so loud at night; rounding up cattle that didn't need that particular service, thanks very much; keeping our feet warm in his role as a 40kg lap dog..

Now he lives a very quiet life in front of the gas heater while waiting for the call-up to play in Heaven with Lassie et al.
