Dog Poem - Why

Why with all the hurt in the world does it hurt so much when your one true friend looks at you with empty eyes do we fall apart, when all they are saying is be strong and I love you but my time is now you could do no more or no less for me. I am your one true friend, you have never let me down but please for your sake and mine be strong and I know what’s around the corner is heartache and pain but its what I need I’ll be looked after you know that the best people you know will take me under their wing and care for me like you are now and have done.

GOODBYE MY FRIEND, I LOVE YOU

Dear Karen,

I had my cat Sooty euthanised last Thursday. Since then I've been plagued with guilt wondering if I did the right thing at the right time for him. You see, Sooty had lung cancer but the vet gave him medicine that made him feel much better for a while. Then he started to go down hill again.
I found your words by chance, or perhaps not, and they have given me comfort and eased the awful guilt I have felt. So, thank you so much Karen for making a difference. Your words have put into perspective that which I was unable to do. God bless you, Sylvia
