Your Dog PicturesMost of us have a wealth of dog pictures capturing the beauty and often mischievous nature of our canine companions. Use the form at the bottom of the page to send in your photo, and if there is a story to tell, so much the better. We love hearing from you. The following canine characters are dogs I've met out and about on various walks with my own dogs, as well as pictures that readers have sent in.
The first is Elsa, a four year old Golden Retriever, belonging to Wendy. This is what she wrote about the photos: "This is my Elsa. She is four and a half and loves the beach, water, river and mud! These were taken at Seaton in Cornwall not far from where we live." (Gorgeous photos, Wendy. Thanks for sending them in - Hilary.)
Here's Teddy, a nine month old Labradoodle. His mum is a yellow Labrador and his dad is a Miniature Black Poodle. Teddy is aleady the size of a Labrador and still growing. There's certainly nothing miniature about him!
Here's Poppy, a Shih Tzu/Jack Russell Cross. Ten years ago Poppy's owner was putting some things on his local rubbish tip. Out of the corner of his eye he saw one of the black bags moving and thought it must be a rat. Something made him investigate further and as he peered into the bag, he realised there was a tiny puppy inside - it was Poppy!
The poor little thing had been abandoned and she was infested with fleas. Amazingly here she is, ten years later, healthy and happy and still with the same owner who found her all those years ago. What a story.
This is Dylan, the Weimarana, who apparently ever since he was a pup, has liked to stand on tables. Sometimes his owner and friends have conversations through Dylan's legs!

Here are some sets of photos that I've put into slide shows. These lovely pictures were sent in by Ali and Allan and show their newest addition to the family. Here is a snapshot of Monty the Golden Retriever's first year. He looks adorable! These were sent in by my friend Tina, and this is what she said about the day: Doris (15 year old Collie x) and Tinny (8 year old Dobermann) met up with their friends Georgie and Jessie on a beautiful, warm, sunny day for fun and games on the South Downs in Sussex. It was so hot, they even took a swim! Bliss. Georgie, Jessie and I met Jackson, a Labradoodle, on a very hot morning and had fun playing with the ball and then cooling down in the water. Jackson's mum is a Labradoodle and his dad is a Standard Poodle - officially this makes Jackson an 'F1B Labradoodle' or a 'Labradoodle-Poodle' as his owner calls him! Now watch Troy, the Standard Poodle, change colour in minutes (if not seconds!) Oh dear! I think there may have been some cleaning up to do when he got home.
