Dogs on the beachDogs on the beach - guaranteed to make your heart sing (if you're a dog lover!)Beaches in the UK can be troublesome for dogs however. You need to know which are dog-friendly and when you're allowed on them. Most of the photos on this page were taken in January and February - an ideal time since there are no barbeques or picnics to disturb. Let's start with Georgie and Jessie on their favourite beach (and ours) in Cornwall. Even though it was February, we had the most fantastic weather and of course the dogs didn't mind that the water was freezing!.   Here's a very short video clip of Jessie swimming ashore on this very beach. One of the Golden Retrievers' favourite pastimes is digging and here's Georgie having fun in the sand. See how happy she looks!  This beach was amazing. At low tide there was an incredible expanse of sand and - even more perfect - it was a dog-friendly beach. Hooray!   Jessie was hoping that if she sat perfectly one of us would throw the ball into the water again. She discovered the joys of swimming in the sea on that holiday.   This was a beautiful January day when the light was perfect and you felt Spring was in the air. This was B.J. (before Jessie) when Georgie was an 'only-dog'. Brighton Pier can be seen in the background.
