Golden Retriever Dog Personality - Georgie

We have two dogs here at 'Out And About With Your Dog'. This is Georgie, our eldest one.

1. What is your dog's name?
Georgie

2. What breed is your dog?
Golden Retriever

3. How old is (s)he?
Six and a half

4. How would you describe your dog?
Georgie is very people orientated. She'll always go and say hello to people on a walk and just likes having a tickle. She's a soft and gentle Retriever but she can also look after herself. If a dog tries to take her stick or ball etc, she'll always give a good bark and tell them 'no'!

5.What's your dog's favourite toy?
Georgie loves cuddly toys although she also likes to chew on her Nylabone.

6. Does your dog know any tricks or have any special talents?
Georgie's special talent is to make people feel good! She knows how to bring a smile to people's faces.


7. What's your dog like off lead on a walk?
She's improved with age. She used to be a bit too independent but is definitely better now. I think my treats have improved as well which probably help!


8. Where does your dog sleep?
Usually outside our bedroom but starts off downstairs on the sofa.

9. Any nasty habits?
Used to eat poo but that's stopped now thank goodness.


10. Favourite treats?
Anything smelly - also loves apple and cheese.


11. From what you know of your dog's breed, is your dog a typical Golden Retriever?
I know Goldens are very people orientated and tend to be very gentle. So yes, I'd say she is typical of her breed.


12. Anything else to add?
She's got the looks as well as a great personality! What more could you ask for :)
