Great Dane Cross Mastiff and Bullmastiff - Duke and Ruby

Duke and Ruby

Duke and Ruby

Both of my dogs are from rescue centres. We adopted Duke from Battersea Dogs Home in February 2005. He had been bought from a free ads paper and had outgrown the flat he lived in! I do question people's judgement!!!!

Ruby came along to join us from Cane Corso UK and Molosser Rescue in November last year. She had been bred from at less than a year old, and after having her puppies was dumped out of the back of a van, along with another recently bred bitch - believed to be her mother, onto a busy road. Both dogs were terrified and covered in fleas but are the most loving girls you could ever want to meet! We are lucky enough to be in contact with the lovely family who adopted Belle, Ruby's Mum, and we got them together on a meet up in Brighton this summer.

I have 15 year old twin boys, one of whom is autistic - with a host of other special needs as well! The dogs are true Gentle Giants and both love him to pieces!

"To err is Human; To forgive is Canine!"

i too have a great dane bull mastif cross. his name is titan he will be 2 in april 2012. he is all black except for 4 white spots one on the back of each foot. he is a wonderful dog and as i am a long haul truck driver he comes with me on the road (had to remove one of the seats so he can get in!) he now weighs 205lbs and i think he is still growing. he is one of the best dogs i have ever had and he does require a lot of work but then he is my best friend and he deserves it
