Hove Park, BrightonWhat do you like about Hove Park for exercising your dog? Easy to reach, good bus service 5B. Do you consider it a safe place for your dog? Hove Park is as safe as any city park can be surrounded by roads. However cutting the park in two with the N.82 Cycle Lane has made it a bit hairy - especially where the N82 enters Hove Park just near the Engineerium. Does it seem popular with other dog owners? Yes, very popular. What is parking like and/or buses? Parking is 'limited stay' in surrounding streets. The 5B bus runs on weekdays (ten minute service) or the 5 & 5A (also a ten minute service) - alight at Hove Park Tavern. Are there doggy bins provided? There seem to be more doggy bins than any other park in the City. Are there any cafes and if so are they dog-friendly? There is a dog friendly cafe at Old Shoreham Rd end. Are there any doggy no-go areas that you know of? (eg. children?s play area) There is one small children's play area which is fenced off. Do you think this place is best suited to certain breeds/types of dog? Not particularly. I've seen Toy Poodles and Great Danes here!
