Diego - our June winner Everyone who enters will get their own page on this website for friends, family and visitors to comment on their photo. So tell everyone you've entered! If your photo is chosen, it will be on our Welcome Page for one month greeting all our visitors :) New for this monthSite Build It, my web hosting company, is now allowing you to upload more than one photo at a time. Although we would still prefer one carefully chosen shot, we are happy if you want to submit more. The other photos must be of the same dog and the judges will only take the top photo into consideration. Please make one submission per dog per month. We would also like to encourage natural shots rather than photos taken in the studio; and the photo must be taken by you or a friend/family member whose permission you have to use the photo.  What we're looking for You may send in any photo of your dog although we prefer dogs in their natural state ie. without dresses and bekinis etc! To be chosen for the Welcome Page, the photo will probably be a natural shot, clearly showing the body or face of the dog. This particular photo will be representing our website around the world and be the first thing many people see when they visit us. For that reason we will veer towards "out and about" shots. There may be exceptions for an exceptional photo! Click here for the photos we've chosen since the contest began. If we feel a particular photo is not suitable, I'm afraid it will not go live. Every photograph and comment is checked by the editor. There may therefore be a delay of up to 24 hours of photos/comments appearing on the site. We shall announce the winner of the July contest at the end of the month and the winning entry will have pride of place on the Welcome Page until the following month. Due to this site's success around the world, we are no longer sending prizes out to the winning entry. With custom forms and so forth for winners outside the UK, it was becoming rather complicated to administer. We hope you will still continue to send us your photos! We may link your photo to our Gallery of Dog Breeds. This is where breeds of the same kind have been brought together on the same page for visitors to enjoy. If you own one of the hybrid dogs (Sprocker/Puggle/Sproodle etc) and the photo clearly shows what the breed look like, I shall also be putting a smaller photo of your entry on the Hybrid Dogs page. Judging Judging is done by myself (Hilary), my husband and usually a guest judge. If you would like to help with the judging please contact me. We're looking for people who are genuinely interested in all the entries and are willing to make positive comments on as many of the photos that come in. 
Helping us this month is Karen Brogden or Kazzie from Nottingham, UK. The picture shows her three dogs, Rocky the Boxer, Ozzie and Cisco the Retrievers, and her Dad’s dog Ben . She writes,
I've always grown up with pets in the household ranging from chipmonks to turtles but always had dogs, the most recent being Ozzie and Cisco who we rescued a little over two years ago now, after losing Hollie another rescue. We are currently fostering a 6yr old Boxer called Rocky whilst he finds a home which is fun at the best of times. I like spending time away from my pooches but enjoy walking them and getting away from the real world sometimes. I get more sense out my four legged friends than my two legged! I have taken many photos of the dogs over time some excellent some not so excellent. Happy clicking and snapping and good luck if you are entering the contest! - Kazzie A good size
