Being a lab, Bosley enjoys being out on the water.
How we started - one day my husband and I were getting the kayak ready to go out on the river next to our house. Bosley got really excited and jumped in even before we got the kayak out of the house! We weren't sure we could take him because we thought he would try to jump out and tip us over, but we went ahead and loaded Bosley in the kayak and paddled out on the river. He really loved it! He loved the smells and watching the fish jump and the birds fly by. Once he tried to jump out to get a fish but once we told him no he learned to stay still. Bosley enjoys frequent trips out on the river at sunset.
If anyone is considering kayaking with their dog make sure you have life vests and even one for your dog. We are buying one for Bosley. I would encourage anyone who enjoys the outdoors to try this activity with their dog.
