Schnitzel the Schnoodle
Schnitzel is a very happy 4 year old Schnoodle.
When she was 2 years old she was diagnosed with a liver shunt, a congenital birth defect where the blood flows around the liver instead of through it.
She underwent major surgery to have 2 constrictors put on her 2 liver shunts, which slowly closed over 30 days causing her small liver to gradually take on normal blood flow.
The doctors were very cautious about whether she would survive as her liver at 2 years old was severely underdeveloped. After many prayers, much love and TLC her liver kicked in and after 4 months her blood counts were perfect and have remained so ever since.
Schnitzel loves her family and happiness to her is to play frisbee and run in her yard.
This photo is of her returning back to fetch a frisbee from her family, happy as a Schnoodle can be.
