The September 2009 Dog Photo Contest is now closed!See all the photos from this month on one page.
Congratulations to Morgan Avila from Lynbrook, New York, USA. We all loved this picture of Zanzibar, the Leonberger. We look forward to seeing him when he's a fully grown boy :) If you win, the photo will be on our Welcome Page for the month greeting all our visitors :) Please only send in one photo. We would also like to encourage natural shots rather than photos taken in the studio; and the photo must be taken by you. Did you know that you can make comments on your favourite photo or just let the person know you like their dog? It will really mean a lot to people if you do. Simply click on the entries below and there'll be an opportunity to comment on the individual photo. Go on, join in! It's nice for people to find out what you think of their dog. Please keep comments positive! We shall announce the winner of the September contest at the beginning of October and the winning entry will have pride of place on the Welcome Page until the following month. Due to this site's success around the world, we are no longer sending prizes out to the winning entry. With custom forms and so forth for winners outside the UK, it was becoming rather complicated to administer. We hope you will still continue to send us your photos! If you would like to help with the judging please contact me. We're looking for people who are genuinely interested in all the entries and are willing to make positive comments on the photos as they come in. If you are having trouble sending a photo, there may be a gap in the photo file name or sometimes the photo itself is too big. If this is the case, try re-sizing it to 500 pixels. Puggle - Jack
Jack flew into Minneapolis airport in June from Missouri. He had a lay-over in Chicago. Shih tzu - Tobby Tobby is 4 months and he loves to play with balls. He's very sweet and friendly.
Terrier Crossbreed - Tessa
This is my dog, Tessa, who is an eight year old mongrel we got from a rescue centre. labrador - jazz this is my grandson adian's dog jazz. they are best friends and do everything together, and as you can see they copy each other. silver labrador - skye skye is an american silver lab, and it will be her 2nd birthday 8th october. she loves the seaside.
