I was on the Beach,(Lake Superior) and I was taking pictures of the lake. I was thinking about picture poses, so I sat down and my dog sat down and looked at me. I thought, that would be a cute picture, so I took a couple of pictures with him sitting, then he layed down and flashed his HUGE EARS at me. I laughted at him. When I got to my house and immediately looked at them I saw this beautiful picture and I said " I Must Enter That In A Photo Contest"!!!!

I grew up on Lake Superior and currently live in Phoenix. I have 2 Shelties - Chloe and Laci(Doodle. They are just barely 4 and 3 years old. I can't wait till they first experience the beach.....

A great, great shot! The only thing that could have made it anymore beautiful would have been a sunset. The waves are great! And he is a very handsome boy.

The perfect photo needs to capture the dog well but with a backdrop which enhances it and I would say your shot does just that! Frazier's coat is a wonderful colour and looks ever so silky. I like the way the angles of the sea and markings in the sand draw your eye into the picture - very effective. Really nice.
