We adopted Charlie from A Forever Home rescue league. He is now two years old. This photo was taken after the second big blizzard in the Washington D.C. area in 2010. Charlie was in a snow fort, jumping and catching snowballs in his mouth.

Hi Kristen, yes the snow against the blue sky is very effective. It's just a happy shot somehow - expressing Charlie's personality and joie de vivre :)

Now this is an action shot, if ever I saw one and so amazingly clear too!!

A lovely deep colouring in the sky which is needed when the snow and dog are so white.

Charlie is certainly having fun but the thing I love most is that brilliant shadow caught in the background showing the dog's stance - great!
