Topaz the Australian Shepherd puppy

Topaz is my darling 6 month old aussie pup. She loves to play, play, and play! One of her favorite "games" is playing in the water. It doesn't matter where the water is, just as long as it's there. The sprinkler, the hose, the lake. Wherever. When she's all done, she dries herself off. On YOU! I often come in with wet pants. If you ask her very nicely she'll sometimes agree to use the grass instead though. :)

She also enjoys taking walks on which we stop pretty much every five minutes on busy days. There isn't a single person that passes us that doesn't want to pet her - or at least smiles and coos over her. Topaz of course just loves the attention.

Not only is she a playful girl, but she's also a smart one too! Every Tuesday night we go to puppy class. This girl is so smart we skipped puppy class 2 and went to adult class 1! So far she can roll over, shake, down, sit, high five, bow, spin, come, guess which hand the treat is in, jump up, and sometimes wait. :) We're working towards our goal of becoming a therapy dog and trainer. We hope to visit children's hospitals and nursing homes in the future. So as soon as she's a year old (in january) we're acing that test!

Topaz is an expert model. She's only been here since she was 8 weeks but I already have 1000 pictures that I consider nice enough to keep. ;) She's very patient when I pull out the camera. I had a hard time choosing a picture to put on here. I have plenty to choose from!
