Harley is a cross between a timber wolf and an Alsation. He is the smartest dog i have ever owned.

We got him at 6weeks old and he was house trained! He loves his food, and never growls even when i put my hand into his bowl. He gets on with my female terrier cross, he is quite dominant though.

He is clumsy, energetic and loves his chew toys. He doesn't like being left alone or locked into a separate room, he will literally break his own nails trying to scrape under the door! (but he sleeps in my bed at night so that's not much of a problem for me).

He's more interested in playing and being with other dogs than humans, although he will greet anyone with a wagging tail and anyone who passes us while we're out walking he tries to follow.

I would not trust him off lead as he is easily distracted and will follow anything, be it a bit of paper :)

When he sees young kids he gets a bit excited at first and tries to jump at them which we are trying to correct as his nails are really sharp, but he never bites them.

He is very vocal when he doesn't get his own way, not barking or growling though.

I have always owned small terriers and he was my first large dog so i was nervous about training, but he was easily trained compared to my small dogs, he is very food motivated :)

He does shed quite a bit and needs to be brushed daily, if not twice.
